Coffee to a Tea
Local Review
Time for another local review!
This week's establishment: Coffee to a Tea in West Seattle.
Overall Rating: 8/10

Thumbs up & Thumbs down...
- Cafe Space: UP - The cafe has good ambiance and has a good layout. A lot of seating options and the kids play space is in the back so you don't feel like your kids are bothering the other patrons.
- Coffee: UP - I was expecting this to disappoint but I was pleasantly surprised. I watched the barista make my drink and was not disappointed. Are all the baristas here this good?
- Other Food items: Undecided - There are a lot of cupcakes. I had one of their mini cupcakes once during a previous visit and was disappointed. I'll have to try another to give it a fair shot. There were only a few other pastry options but the display wasn't all that impressive. They rent out their space for small parties and showers and even offer an afternoon tea service.
- Friendliness of workers: UP - I only interacted with one person. My barista. He was quiet but friendly.
- Types and cleanliness of toys: UP - This has been the downfall for me in the past. Sure, they had a play space but it was kind of dingy. Not so anymore. They have revamped since my visit last year and I was pleasantly surprised. The raised platform with toys now has a hardword (faux, I'm guessing) on top, making the overall appearance much nicer. The train table is clean, as are the other large toys. They still have a whole bunch of random books and toys thrown in bins on a bookshelf on one side of the stage but no biggie. My kids had a great time and played well for over an hour. Check out my photo below.
- Bathrooms: UP - There is one bathroom right next to the play space and it was clean and large.
- Cost: UP - The play space is FREE and the coffee prices are normal. I'll have to double check the cost of cupcakes and other pastries.
Bottom line?
Good latte for me and a fun space for my boys to play and be with other kids? Yes, please. We'll definitely be back, especially as the weather starts to get wet and cold. Go check it out and let me know what you think.
